Bast contains carbohydrates and relative combinations, starch, mucus, saponins, alkaloids, steroids, coumarins and tanning matters (up to 18%). Leaves contain essential oils, berverin, vitamin C and P, coumarins tanning matters and flavonaids.

Essential oil, mircen, geraniol, limonene alkaloids (berberin, catroricin, palmatin, coumarins, tanning matters and diosmin were found in fruits.

Flowers contain alkaloids and diosmin. Phytoncids from leaves possess bactericidial properties, essential oil possesses antigelmit and bactericidial properties.

CONCENTRATED EXTRACT OF CRANBERRY (Viburnum sargentii Koehne)

Flowers, bark, bruits and leaves are medical stuff.

This valuable property was examined using the mode of alcohol intocixation. The experiment was carried out using rats - vistar males. Alcohol intoxication was caused by injection 33% ethyl spirit solution, thiopental narcosis was also used as a chemical factor - these are really hepatotoxic substance.

Experiment #1

Tiopental was injected interperitoneumly at the rate of 60 mg per 1 kg of weight. Hydrolysad of Cranberry was injected intergastricly to the first group in 2 hours and all rats stayed alife.

In the second group, where hydrolysad of Cranberry was not injected, 2 rats died in 2 hours. Appraisal was done accounting time of side position (under the influence of narcosis), which in its turn demonstrats the ectivation of monoxygenaze system, providing fiotransformation of xenobiotics.

Experiment #2

Ethonol was injected to rats intergastricly twice a day at the rate of 7,5 mg., per 1 kg of weight during 7 days. The first group received hydrolysad of Cranberry intercastricly after 7 days of injecting ethanol, to the second group ethanol was abolished in 7 days, and to the third group ethanol was injected solely during 7 days.

Alcohol injection is accompanied by the true reduction of membrane connected lysosomal β-glycosidase activity as a result of membrane braking effect of ethanol and an increase of cytosolic β-galactosidase activity due to increase of membrane penetration with lysosome and matrix enzyme coming out.

Reduction of glutathione reductase (GR) activity and the amount of restored glutathione demonstrate the failure of liver activity to provide detoxication effectively.

The integral and anti-radical activity was reduced, thus redulted in peroxide oxidation of lipids activation, which is shown by the increase of malonyl dialdehyde amount (MDA)

The reduction of the amount of NAD+ being the co-ferment of alcohol dehydragenase demonstrates high effectiveness of ethanol oxidation, accumulation of restored form of NADN and, thus, the failure of aerobian glycolysis functioning.

All, the above said, is proved by the increase of lactate amount, being the final product of cholesterin anaerobian glycolysis. An increase of amount of cholesterin, triacylglycerin (TAG), free fat acids and decrease of cholesterin ethers were also marked. All these changes are coused by reinforcement of peripherial lynolys (stress reaction to ethanol) resulted in fat acids infiltration into the liver. The amount of phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylserine among phospholipid bractions.

A significant increase of lysophosphatidylcholine and lysophosphatidylatalomin is connected with the phospalinase A2 activity increase. The level of phosphadylinosit was also increased. These changes illustrate the increase of penetrability of hepatocyte membrane.

Thus, upon analizing received experimental particulars, it is possible to make a conclusion, that ethayl spirit obtains strong hepatoloxic activity, which is seen in changes of lipid and carbohydrate exchange in liver and also disbalancing of enzyme systems.

Nevertheless after abolishing ethanol, rat's liver functioning was not restored fully. We consider the abolishment of alcohol to be a stress lot the body, that is obviously proved by the increased data of some biochemical parameters (the increased number of free fat acids and reduced number of cholesterin ether).

Join application of the said extract and alcohol proved normalizing of lysosomal glycolidase activity, level of NAD, amount of triacylglycerin and free fat acids. CONCENTRATED EXTRACT OF ELEUTHEROCOCCUS (Eleutherococcus senticousus Maxim)

This is a bush from udo (Aralia cordata) family. It is the relative to ginseng and possesses all its valuable properties. This plant contains lactoses, starch, polysaccharine, wax, tar, gum, pectines, fat and ethel oils, micro- elements, vitamins.
